First and foremost, you will need a prescription. As easy as this sounds, it is rather complicated. You see, in Arizona you have to be specifically licensed to treat or even prescribe a patient medical cannabis. Most of your general practitioners are not licensed or educated on the various uses of medical cannabis.
You will need to see a licensed medical cannabis doctor. 99% of the time these doctors are located inside a certification center. This is beneficial because the doctor can approve your use and the center can process your paperwork for the state.
Most cannabis doctors will have a green cross on their building or in their logo. This has become the symbol for the medical cannabis industry. A simple search for cannabis doctor or cannabis certification will get you to a facility that can approve your use and submit your paperwork to the state.
Don't worry, you do not have to go through an embarrassing strip down with a new doctor. Simply bring a copy of your medical records regarding your condition, explain a little about your issues and they will review and approve your use based on that paperwork.
Here is where it gets tricky. When educating clients on the amount and variety of cannabis available for any given ailment, I use the wine comparison.
If you are living in current times, then you no doubt either partake in wine drinking or at least are aware of its popularity. This being the case, you are probably acutely aware of the variety of wines out there.
Cannabis is very similar to vino-each variety has a unique name and history. You can find vineyards in different climates all around the world. With cannabis, instead of varieties, you have strains and instead of vineyards you have 'grows'.
There are medical cannabis dispensaries all over the state of Arizona. Similar to a liquor store for wine, this is where you will purchase your medicine. If you live in a state where cannabis is recreational, then you will have a larger selection to choose from. In Arizona we have a fair amount of choices when it comes to cannabis but knowing what to get and how it works is a whole nother ball game.
You will not be allowed in a dispensary if you do not have an Arizona MMJ patient card. Even to look around. Arizona laws are pretty strict so if you are just curious, you might want to surf the web before taking the full plunge.
As your coach, I will be able to guide you to the best strains and types of cannabis for your specific ailment. I work with you during the trial and error process to narrow down which strain will work best for you. I can custom tailor doses that don't get you high and allow you to feel the benefits of the plant in a low and slow dose.
Which coaching fee you choose and how much medicine you end up needing will all contribute to the price. Below are some examples.
Exam & State Card: $300
Coaching: Up to $400
Medicine: $18 - $100/month
Accessories: $20-$100 total
Some clients experience results after the first day, others take up to a week to finally feel results. It will depend on your ailment, dose and experience. Because my motto is low and slow, it may take some time to dial in your perfect treatment.
My coaching process is designed to assist medical cannabis users in transitioning to effective cannabis usage as a medicinal alternative in a cost-effective and rapid manner. In doing so, I advocate for the foundational philosophy of “low and slow” learning and building tolerances.
Cannabis is a most unique medicine. It has the ability to subdue the most intense pain and yet produce a pleasant effect. It can be controlled by mental focus and physical activity. It can produce energy and can also induce sleep. And the best fact? It is non-lethal and non-toxic.
This medicine requires MORE educational effort than simply following the instructions on a prescription bottle label. That said, my experience is that clients who are committed to self-education are better prepared for long-term success. Building on this trust, I will work to allay your fears, address your questions, build your confidence and generally give you a glimpse of a very hopeful outcome.
Example assistance includes, but is not limited to; all paperwork, photos and uploads regarding your medical marijuana certification and licensing with the state of Arizona, CBD and/or THC introduction, logistics, referrals, resources, future planning, and informational exchange.
